UCF Incubator opens doors to Seminole students

Bank of America Foundation awards $10,000 grant to the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools for Student Job Shadowing Workshop

Seminole State sets online enrollment record

The online programs at Seminole State College of Florida set a new enrollment record for the 2015-16 academic year with over 36,000 enrollments in the programs. Seminole State Online is the College’s second-largest campus, with nearly 40 percent of enrolled students participating in online courses, and has seen a 34 percent increase in enrollment over the past five years.

3 arrested in homicide of Sanford man

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men and a woman Monday morning after they said all three were involved in the murder of a Sanford man.

Seminole schools plan to reopen Longwood Elementary

The Citizens Academy will be held each Wednesday evening from Sept. 7 to Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. The city is currently accepting applications.

Cotton-top tamarins back on exhibit with two new babies at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is excited to announce that the cotton-top tamarins are back on exhibit. Now located next to the Herpetarium, the group consists of an adult male and female, two adolescents that were born in 2015, and two infants that were born February 6, 2016. The whole family is currently available for viewing daily during Zoo hours 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Seminole State to receive $1 million over 4 years from Florida Hospital

Police search for clues in Altamonte triple homicide

Altamonte Springs police are still searching for the killer in a triple homicide that occurred early Sunday morning at the Remington Inn and Suites.
Police said they believe the shooting took place around 4 a.m. when other residents of the hotel heard popping noises following an argument. The shooting took place on the second floor of Building 2.
