Join the Citizens Academy

The City of Sanford will once again offer its Sanford Citizens Academy to locals wanting to learn more about their city government.
The Citizens Academy will be held each Wednesday evening from Sept. 7 to Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. The city is currently accepting applications.
The free 10-week class is a great way to provide an opportunity for you to learn about local government through first-hand experience and gain exposure to the wide range of City functions, services and activities. The only requirement is that you are at least 18 years old.
The application and class schedule are available at www.sanfordfl.gov/citizensacademy or call 407-688-5019. The application deadline is Aug. 18.
