Central Florida Scouts go Door-to-Door “Scouting for Food”

Every November, local Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers set out to fight hunger during their annual “Scouting for Food” campaign. This year, the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America collected 70,863 pounds of food for a local network of feeding partners, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Orlando Rabbis To Join Thousands of Rabbis from 100 Countries & 50 U.S. States

Later this week, the ten Rabbis, of the seven metro Orlando Chabad centers will join 5,600 rabbis and communal leaders from all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 countries, hailing from as far away as Laos and Angola, Ghana and Uzbekistan, at the International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries (Kinus Hashluchim) in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Dr. Rajan Wadhawan has been promoted to senior executive officer, and will lead both Florida Hospital for Children and Florida Hospital for Women.

Wadhawan previously served as chief medical officer of Florida Hospital for Children, as well as medical director of neonatology at Florida Hospital for Children.

The Florida Classic is more than a football game.  It’s an experience, a weekend where college friends reunite, families come together and fans come out in great numbers for the annual football rivalry between Florida A&M University-Tallahassee (FAMU) Rattlers and Bethune Cookman University-Daytona Beach (BCU) Wildcats.  The 39th Florida Classic Events were held in Orlando, FL on Nov.
