Altamonte Springs police are still searching for the killer in a triple homicide that occurred early Sunday morning at the Remington Inn and Suites.
Police said they believe the shooting took place around 4 a.m. when other residents of the hotel heard popping noises following an argument. The shooting took place on the second floor of Building 2.
The bodies were found the next day around 3 p.m. when a maintenance worker walked by the room and noticed the door was wedged open. When he looked inside he saw a dead woman in a chair.
Police identified the victims as Charles Simms Jr., 39, Germaine D. Deamus, 38, and Lisa Robbins, 49. They were all shot to death.
Police believe the victims knew each other and were residents of the extended stay hotel. They are also investigating the involvement of drugs in the crime, and said the hotel is a high-call area and police have known there to be drugs there before.
Police are continuing to seek out any information residents or witnesses may have on the crime. They are asking for the public’s help.
This is the first triple homicide in Altamonte Springs history.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Altamonte Springs Police Department or CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
