This year’s Sanford Historic Trust Calendar Photo Contest gathered 138 entries. Each entry was assigned a number and placed in a folder for blind judging. Members of the new Sanford Camera Club judged the photos on the following criteria: • Does the photo say “Sanford” when you look at it? • Does the image hold the viewer’s interest?

Alexander C. Wynn III
Alexander C. Wynn, III, CFSP, COCP, has been named to a two-year term as President of the National Morticians Association. Wynn was born in Sanford, FL to the proud parents of the late Alexander and Ella Wynn. He is a 1966 graduate of Crooms High School.

The Sanford Camera Club will hold their second monthly meeting this evening with special guest presenter Susan Francis. Francis has owned the photography school attached to Harmon Photo (on Orange Ave) for more than a decade, and will offer an overview and dialogue on “Ten Techniques to Taking Better Digital Photography.”

Cuban born jeweler and sculptor David Ramos is one of the featured artists at the Lake Mary Museum’s upcoming Local Artist Exhibit running from July 30 through Sept. 17.
