Society Band Reunion
Members of "Society", a band formed in Sanford in 1970, came together on Sat. night, July 23, 2016, at the XO Event Center, 3115 S. Orlando Dr. in Sanford (the old K-Mart Plaza), for a night of "Old School Soul" and a Society Band Reunion.   

Two Seminole County artists were recently honored at a reception for Orlando’s newest branch of the Ronald McDonald House on the Nemours campus at Lake Eola earlier this August.

The 16th Year Appreciation Services were held for Pastor Otis C. Raines and Lady Carolyn Raines, at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 1701 S. Bell Ave. in Sanford.

The Love Your Shorts Summer Rewind will take place this Friday at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m.

The Sanford Housing Authority and the City of Sanford have received a HUD Neighborhood Planning Grant. The monthly Sanford Eastside/Westside Community Meeting with Sanford’s City Manager and City staff will be held Thurs., Aug. 25, 2016, at the Westside Community Center, 919 S. Persimmon Ave.; 6 p.m.
