UCF football falls to No. 5 Michigan at the Big House

   ANN ARBOR, Mich. (UCFKnights.com) — No. 5 Michigan defeated UCF 51-14 Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium before 109,295 fans, the largest crowd the Knights have ever played in front of, passing the previous record of 104,745 when UCF visited Ohio State in 2012.

Scott Frost (top) led UCF to a 38-0 season-opening victory over South Carolina State in his debut was the Knights’ head coach. Quarterback Justin Holman (No. 13, middle) threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another and Shaquem Griffin (No. 18, hitting quarterback, bottom) and the UCF defense held South Carolina State to 223-yards of offense, just 15 in the fourth quarter.

   Sanford junior golfers ages 11-18 are invited to compete in an upcoming Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour event.
   The AJGT Rob Noel’s Big Easy Golf Academy Fall Classic at Lakewood Country Club in New Orleans, LA, on September 10–11.
   The entry fee is $185 and includes two days of green fees, tee gifts, and Trophies in four age divisions.

   ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) — The UCF volleyball team played three matches at the Saluki Invitational at Southern Illinois University, posting a 2-1 record, and won the invitational after holding the tiebreaker over Northern Arizona.
