Griffins calm Storm in Diller

It was cold. It was  windy. Heck, it was 10 miles from Kansas.
Diller-Odell’s field sat on a hill in Diller overlooking a large corn field that had already been harvested.
A few old barns and rusted tractors accompanied the field. They got a front row seat to watch the hometown Griffins end High Plains’ season 67-30 in the first round of the D1 playoffs.

Hampton loses subdistricts, loses out on state

The Hampton volleyball team ended its season with a 24-5 record after a 3-1 loss to Exeter-Milligan Monday night in the first-round game of the D2-2 subdistrict tournament in Friend. The loss brings the careers of two seniors; Brittany Dose and Cami Roehrs, to an end.

District volleyball Tuesday

The Aurora volleyball team will face Seward Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. in the B-6 District Tournament, which will be hosted by Grand Island Northwest. The winner will advance to play the winner of the York/Northwest game at 7:30 p.m. that same night.

Husky softball players break school records

The Aurora softball team ended its season with a disappointing 5-21 season, but managed to find success by breaking some school records.
Freshman leadoff hitter and center fielder Bailey Collingham tied or broke five school records this year.
