Rue Snider was born in the cave of a dragon, he joked at first. Actually he came from outside of Pittsburgh where he was the smarty-pants kid of an elementary school music teacher and was afforded all of the advantages such a position allowed.
“Celebrating a Taste of the 142nd Kentucky Derby and Charity Event” recently came to the beautiful City of Sanford by way of the Pearlie Mae Ford Community Service Club of Sanford, Inc. (PMF). The PMF hosted this Kentucky Derby-themed event to raise scholarship funds to support local graduating high school students planning to further their education.

Sweet City Galato is the sugary coined gastro-truck from husband and wife confectioners Monika and Bill Tyler. Both from the northeast where a prevalent Italian-American culture melts even the most steel-hearted savory-lover at the summertime sight of gelato.

It’s so hard to believe that another school year is quickly coming to an end. I am very excited to share that my youngest will be graduating from UCF with his bachelors degree (Go Knights!). I also have several friends with graduating seniors and they have asked me for easy ideas with graduation parties.

It was a Happy 90th Birthday Celebration Service for Mrs. Annie Mae Stokes O’Neille at Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church in Sanford, Rev. Octavious Smith, Pastor, on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 6 p.m. The theme of the celebration service was Mrs. O’Neille’s life story.
