Jack Sinclair (top) and Jeffrey Hakanson (above) helped lead the Western Nebraska Pioneers to the Expedition League Championship as Sinclair went 6-0 with a 3.65 ERA and Hakanson led the league in saves with 10 and a miniscule 0.38 ERA.

36 of the top athletes and administrators (top-to-bottom) from 2017-2018 were honored back in mid-May at the 10th Annual Seminole County Breakfast of Champions at the Lake Mary Events Center. The top four individual honors went to: Athletic Director of the Year _ Jay Getty, Hagerty; Coach of the Year _ Dennis Burchill, Lake Mary, Girls Golf; Boys Scholar Athlete _ Parker Jochum, Trinity Prep; and Girls Scholar Athlete _ Katelyn Gomrad, Winter Springs.

The DeLand Suns (top) won their second FCSL title behind the pitching of Jesus Valoy (2nd from top) and MVP Brayden Sisson (3rd from top, receiving his award from Commissioner Rob Sitz, left, and President Stefano Foggi, right), who went 5-for-5 and drove in five runs in the final. The Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (above) put up a great fight, advancing all the way from the Play-In Game to the ‘if necessary’ Game 3 final on Monday.
