The UCF football team moved up in both national polls this week. The Knights were ranked 19th in the AP Top 25 Poll and 20th in the latest Amway Coaches Poll. UCF will host South Carolina State this evening (Saturday) in its home opener at 6 p.m. inside Spectrum Stadium.

Hagerty quarterback Sammy Cordero (No. 7, top) ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Huskies won their first game of the season, 34-14, over Winter Springs. Junior quarterback McKenzie Milton (top) was 24-for-32 passing for 346-yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions and also carried the ball seven rimes for another 50-yards and a touchdown as he UCF to its 14th consecutive victory, 56-17, at UConn on Thursday. Seminole High grads Gabriel Davis (No. 13, above) caught six passes for 40-yards, including a 10-yard touchdown, and Brandon “BAM” Moore (not shown) started at cornerback and made five tackles, three solo and had broke up a pass.
