Alberta L. Powell, 91, of Sanford, Florida, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday May 30, 2018.  Bertie was born on July 31, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois to the late William and Della Logan.  She settled in the Sanford area over 57 years ago where she raised her family with her husband Robert.  She was a proud Navy wife and talented seamstress.

Noah J. Frediani, 35, of Sanford, Florida died at home on Saturday May 5, 2018 after a long battle with drug addiction. He was born on December 10, 1982 in Hartford, Connecticut. He also lived in Grafton, Massachusetts andLouisville, Kentucky but spent most of his growing up years in Falmouth, Massachusetts before moving toFlorida in 1999.

Rosa Jenkins, 91 a native of Sanford, Florida died May 27, 2018 in Sanford, Florida.  She was a retired Custodian Worker from UCF and a member of Refuge Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Sanford, Fl.  She was a member of the Amvets Ladies  Auxiliary Post 17 and Sweet Harmony Chapter # 388, OES.

Mildred Margarette McAlexander, 99, of Sanford, Florida, passed peacefully from this life on Monday May 28, 2018.  Mildred was a longtime resident of Sanford.  Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Dorothy Jean Chandler, her grandsons; David A. Chandler and William R. Chandler, Jr., her sister Betty Simcoe and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia Lee Mike, 90 was a native of Wilton, Arkansas and longtime resident of Sanford, FL., died May 26, 2018 in Sanford, FL. She was a member of Words for Right Now Ministries, Bishop David Grant, Pastor.  She is survived by her Four Sons:  Eddie (Sandra) Mike, Deltona, FL James (Debra) Mike, Sanford, FL. Charles (Gwendolyn) Dixon, Camilla, GA. And Mike Mitchell.

Ernest Lee Scott 78 Lake Monroe, Florida passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Funeral Services for Mr. Scott will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 2150 South Airport Blvd. Interment will follow in Page Jackson Cemetery. Mr. Scott was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1939 in Sanford, Florida to the late John Calvin Scott and Alma Colquitt.

Thelma Lee Taylor, 72, of Osteen, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Central Florida Regional Hospital, Sanford, Florida with her loving family by her side.   She was born January 22, 1946 in Sanford, Florida to the late Henry Johnson and the late Mattie Lee Wynn.  Thelma worked as a clerical specialist at Seminole County Health Department in Sanford, Florida.

Sonia R. Archer, 71, passed away on May 5,2018 at Fish Memorial Hospital, Orange City, FL. She was born May 4, 1947, in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She  was  a Certified Nurse Assistant and retired from Morris View Health Care Center, Morris Township, New Jersey. She moved from New Jersey to Deltona, Florida, in 1990.

Julia B. Brown, 101, of Sanford, Florida, died on May 9, 2018, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was the fourth child of ten siblings born to Dallis and Claudia Baldwin. During her early years she attended schools in Leon County, Florida, graduated from Lincoln High School, and pursued Liberal Arts studies at FAMC/FAMU, Tallahassee, Florida.

Harrie Lee Chisholm, 89, of Sanford, passed away May 17, 2018 in Sanford. She was born in Orlando and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Allen Chapel AME Church, where she served as an usher and served on the Stewardess Board. She was a loving, kind person.
