Sister Alberta Warren Jordan Crowder made her transition at Fish Memorial Hospital (Hospice Care) in Orange City, Florida on August 28, 2017.  She was cremated on October 4, 2017.  Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 920 Cypress Avenue, Sanford, FL  32771.  McKennon Fernander, Pastor, will be presiding.

Lucretia George Kouassi, 65, Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on April 25, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Greater New Zion Primitive Baptist Church 201 South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Daytona Beach, Florida. Interment will follow at Glencoe-Geiger Cemetery in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Mr. Willie Device Lawrence, 58 of Sanford, Florida died May 4, 2018 in Waycross, Georgia.  He attended the public schools of Seminole County and was employed as a Mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Visitation will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 from 5-7pm  at Allen Chapel A.M.E Church, Sanford, Florida and Saturday 1:30 until service time.  Funeral Services 2:30 P.M.

Bishop Johnnie James Ligon, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Saint James House of Prayer Church 2775 Celery Avenue with Bishop Eugene Cooper, Pastor and Bishop of Protocol Titus B. Deas, Jr., Eulogist. Bishop Ligon began his journey of life on Wednesday, February 23, 1935 to Wallace Ligon, Sr.

Baby Renea  A. Wilson, born to Antwan Wilson and Aiesha Roberts on September 29, 2017, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018,  in the presence of her loving family. Renea was a very happy and bubbly little girl, and was loved by her entire family. She was a delight and had many forms of Character that her family enjoyed.

Maura Maria Alveo, age 88, of Sanford, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. Mrs. Alveo was born on January 24, 1930 in Panama City, Panama. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Alveo was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino Alveo, in 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Jilma Deter and Estela Alveo; son, Ricardo A.

Pauline Boissonneault age 71, of Sanford, Florida passed away April 28, 2018. She was born August 10, 1946 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Armand A. and Aurea (Gosselin) St. Germain. Prior to her retirement Pauline was employed as a secretary for AAA.

Olive Minnie Toney Booth, 98, of Mobile, AL, formerly of Wayne, WV and Sanford, FL, passed away at her residence on Monday, April 23, 2018. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, WV. Olive was born on October 27, 1919 in Wayne, WV, the fifth of fifteen children to Alden Keiffer Toney and Cassandra Adkins Toney.

David Earl Graybill of Sanford, FL. passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018.  He was born on July 23, 1954 in Richfield, Pennsylvania.  Services will be held 11am Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 813 Pine Ave. Sanford, FL. 32771. Pastor Sammy Edwards.  The viewing will be from 10am until service time.

Sharmanya Lynette Jamison, 41, Oviedo, Florida passed away on Sunday, April, 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Temple of Praise Church 2020 McCracken Road Sanford, Florida. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Sharmanya was born on Thursday, September 2, 1976 in Detroit Michigan. She attended the Public Schools of Detroit, Michigan.
