It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Hand Meriwether, Jr. announces his passing on May 18, 2018, at the age of 73. A native of Sanford, Walter was a third-generation Meriwether in the area.  He grew up on 20th Street.  Walter was passionate about every aspect of Meriwether Farms which was established by his grandfather, Charles James Meriwether in 1914.

Jean Marie Clayton age 59, of Sanford, Florida, passed away May 11, 2018. She was born November 8, 1958 in Takoma Park, Maryland, the daughter of William F. and Annette (Morris) Vollmer. Jean was predeceased by her mother. She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Gregory Clayton, her father William F. Vollmer, three sons, and two daughters. Services will be held privately.

Born:  Alberta Warren was born June 15, 1955. Parents: The late Albert John Warren, Sr. and Georgia Mae Dixon-Warren Education:  Attended the public schools of Seminole County, Crooms High school and was affiliated with Seminole High School ‘s Class of 1974 but married Everette McClennon, Sr., a year short of graduating.

Agnes Lavern Jenkins, 63, of Winter Springs, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Halifax Health-Hospice Center of Orange City, Orange City, Florida with her loving family by her side.  Agnes Jenkins was born to the late Hezekiah and Alice Elder on April 5, 1955 in Newnan, Georgia. However, her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia when she was one year old.

Robert Earl Martin, 59, of Deltona, passed away May 13, 2018 at Halifax Health Medical Center in Deltona. He worked as a juvenile counselor in the corrections department and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Osteen. He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn A. Martin of Deltona; sons, Leonie A. Smith Jr. of Tampa, Lionel L. Clemmons of Daytona, Jamaal M.

On May 10, 2018, Yvonne C. Saulsby Moore went to be with the Lord.  She was born in Columbia County ,Florida and educated in the public-school systems in Columbia County and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Master’s in Education from Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Bobby Cofield, 76, Sanford, Florida passed away on Saturday May 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving and devoted children and family. Funeral services will be held on May 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Temple of Praise Church 2020 McCracken Road Sanford. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Bobby was born May 15, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Robert Colman and Mabel Cofield.

Lila Bell Cox, 69, the third daughter to the late J.D. and Henrietta King Cox passed away on May 8, 2018 in Stockbridge, Georgia. Lila attended the Public schools of Seminole County. She was employed and retired form Siemens Logistics and worked for Delta Airline Academy for a few years after her retirement. Lila enjoyed traveling, fishing, family, friends and life.

Lemuel James Humphrey, 21, of Deltona, Florida passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 in Sanford, Florida.   He was born October 25, 1996 in Sanford, Florida to Lawrence Humphrey, Jr. and Marie Humphrey.  Lemuel attended Orange County Public Schools and Volusia County Public Schools.  He was a graduate of University High School, Orange City, Florida, Class of 2015.

Jessie Mae Hillery, 86, Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Monday, May 14, 2018. She was born on February 2, 1932 in Geneva Florida to the late Willie Jackson and Rozella Butler. She moved to Sanford from Geneva and has resided in Sanford for sixty-three years.
