   HOUSTON (UCFKnights.com) — It was a tale of two halves Saturday afternoon at TDECU Stadium. UCF forced three turnovers in the first half en route to a 21-3 halftime lead, but four Knights turnovers led to a 28-point second half for Houston. The Cougars came back to defeat the Knights, 31-24.

The Lake Mary High girls won their second straight Class 3A Championship at the 2016 Florida High School Golf State Championships on Wednesday at Mission Inn and Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills.

   The Mid Florida Pop Warner League will be holding its 2016 MFPW championship games, sponsored by Kiwanis, at Bishop Moore High School today (Saturday) and Sunday. Admission will be $8, with Kids, ages 2-to-12, $5, and under 2 years of age - no charge.

It was another big night individually for several players (top-to-bottom) as Seminole’s Desmond Brown (No. 32) scored three times and D.J. Hampton (No. 2) two times, while Lake Brantley’s Paris Hennington (No. 20) ran for 230-yards and three touchdowns and Hagerty’s Leo Gomez (No. 3) scored three times and Ethan Brewer (No. 31) scored twice.
