Snarky McSnide Says, The Political Silly Season

The Political Silly Season

Remember the pictures after the record rainfall in California and Nevada?  The pictures of beautiful flowers that sprung up out of the barren sand?

Fast forward to the wildfires raging over large parts of the same semi-arid land.

What is the cause?  Why global warming, naturally, what else?

In Florida, the red tide is killing manatees, sea turtles, and whatever other politically protected creatures the media can find.  Lake Okeechobee is covered with slime. Fish are dying from lack of oxygen in the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie waterways.

What is the cause?  Why global warming, naturally, what else?

Who is to blame for this?

Who else but homo sapiens?

All homo sapiens?

Nope, just certain homo sapiens, namely Republicans

Which ones?

Arnold Schwarzenegger says it's Donald Trump's fault,  Bill Nelson says it's Rick Scott's fault.

Nobody ever mentions Disney and the tremendous amount of treated sewage dumped into the Kissimmee chain of lakes leading to Lake Okeechobee. Nobody mentions that red tides have been the way of life as long as Florida history has been written.

The important goal is to avoid discussing real political issues.

That is why it is called the silly season.

Bill Nelson woke up the other day and said he dreamed that the Russians are planning on interfering with local Florida elections, especially in counties where the Supervisor of Elections is Republican.

The screen shot of Nelson on the pay to watch TV, C-SPAN-2, was scary.  Reminded Snarky of the old Dick Tracy comic strip nemesis, Pruneface.*

Bill has orange hair just like Donald Trump. Bill had on an orange tie with an orange hankie in his pocket.

If Old Bill's handlers can get him to smile, his chances of dozing off in the Senate for six more years will improve.  Good Luck, Bill

* Pruneface had a great-grand daughter named Prune Hilda.
