Our Take John Mica to the Rescue?

 

Our own John Mica can be a national hero.

Environmental wackos, Deplorables, gas station sign painters, and all the rest of America would enshrine him in the pantheon of America’s greatest heroes. 

What does he need to do to warrant the above?  Its simple, introduce a bill in Congress that 

requires the price of gasoline and other fuels be displayed out to only two decimal places.

Think about it, no more 9/10s, which makes America the laughing stock of the world. All those millions of gas station signs wouldn’t have $2.19 and 9/10s, $2.29 and 9/10s and so forth, just $2.20 or $2.30.

When you next stop in a WaWa or a 7-11, look at the number of times 9/10s is displayed. Its on signs out front, its on each choice of fuel at each pump, each receipt, its everywhere. What a waste of space and time.

Is there another item that we purchase at retail the price of which is carried out to more than two decimal places? No, just fuel and it is always 9/10s, never 8/10s or 5/10s.

Think about it, our own John Mica standing on the floor of the House of Representatives, introducing a bill to do away with 9/10s and going to just two decimal places! The applause will be deafening, better than the repeal of the 55 mph speed limit.
