   Top-seeded Sanford rallied from a 2-0 deficit to eliminate #4 Leesburg, 4-2, and #2 Altamonte Springs pulled away late to oust #3 DeLand, 6-3, in a winner-take-all game 3 to set up an All-Seminole County final in the 2016 Florida Collegiate Summer League Championship Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg tomorrow (Sunday).

NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY

   The 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-America Series at New Smyrna Speedway is underway.

   Today (Saturday), the Pro Late Models will go 50 laps, and will be joined on the card by the Mod Minis, Bombers and Spectator Races _ Race you car on the high banks. Must have helmet. No motorcycles or convertibles please.

   Pit gates open at 3 p.m. with Pro Late Model practice scheduled from 4 p.m.-to-5 p.m. Division Practice (no Pro Late Models) from 5 p.m.-to-6 p.m. Ticket booths and grandstand gates open at 6 p.m. Pro Late Model Qualifying at 6:15 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.

   Adult admission is $15 (reserved seating is $20) with all seniors (65+) and military with valid ID admitted for $13. Kids 11 years of age and under are free of charge.

   The track is located at the corner of SR. 44 and CR 415, between New Smyrna, DeLand and Daytona.

   Ahoy!

   Lake Monroe served up some beautiful sailing conditions, and as usual, the Breezeway served up the Dark and Stormy. Seventeen boats were on the water and crossing the finish line first were Tom, Richard and Greg on Sweet Pea with Bill, Patti and Diane on Black Jack being the first Displacement boat and Ron on Wave Goodbye being the first multihull.

   Mike and crew on Teacher's Pet won the drawing for the Gosling's (on the second draw.) Remember, you must be present to win.

HUNTER SAFETY COURSE

   The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering free hunter safety internet-completion courses in central Florida.

   “Don’t wait, take your hunter safety course today,” said JoAnne Peagler, Northeast Region hunter safety coordinator.

   Students who have taken the online course and wish to complete the classroom portion must bring the online-completion report with them.

   All firearms, ammunition and materials are provided free of charge. Students should bring a pen or pencil and paper. An adult must accompany children younger than 16 at all times.

   Anyone born on or after June 1, 1975, must pass an approved hunter safety course and have a hunting license to hunt alone (unsupervised). The FWC course satisfies hunter-safety training requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces.
