Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Startup Media have come together to announce the launch of a new nationwide savings program called gogreenback (think a gigantic coupon book on your mobile device) that combines savings for members with promotion of community philanthropy.
Upon joining, users select a local charitable cause – among them Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Half of the $25 annual membership fee goes directly to the cause of the member’s choice.
“What a wonderfully innovative way to support worthwhile endeavors,” said Dave Krepcho, president and CEO of Second Harvest. “We’re thrilled that gogreenback chose us as a partner, and we’re looking forward to how this relationship will help us make even more progress in the fight against hunger.”
Designed and created by the team at Central Florida-based Startup Media, gogreenback is an exciting new program that gives members access to more than 350,000 merchant offers and product discounts. Hundreds of top-brand retail, restaurant, hotel, travel, automotive and service companies are part of the program.
“We unite members, providers and causes like Second Harvest Food Bank into a nationwide savings program, bringing benefit to everyone,” said Roger Farwell, CEO of Startup Media. “Second Harvest Food Bank is a great organization and a perfect partner for a gogreenback launch. Our members are great people who care deeply about great causes and Second Harvest is just that! It’s all about saving members money, while helping groups that serve our community.”
