Sanford police investigate deadly hit-and-run

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding the driver that hit a man on a bicycle early Friday and killed him.
The incident occurred before 2 a.m. along Celery and Brisson avenues. The victim’s name has not been released and parts of Celery Avenue were shut down for hours while police conducted their investigation.
Police said people should look for a light-colored Nissan Versa with damage to the passenger-side from headlight and mirror. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sanford Police Department at 407-688-5070.
