The Fresh Stop Mobile Market Visits the Goldsboro Community Weekly. This Mobile Market offers fresh fruit and vegetables in community-focused locations at budget-friendly prices.  
The Program’s Mission is to drive positive health outcomes for families hardest hit by diet-related diseases. Once residents get on the Mobile Market, which is a re-purposed city bus, they are provided a shopping experience similar to that of a grocery store. This approach has a direct and immediate impact on families as they are able to conveniently shop for fresh produce in their own neighborhood.  
Additionally, since Fresh Stop accepts cash, credit/debit cards and EBT/SNAP, the Market ensures access for the most disadvantaged individuals living in our community.  The Fresh Stop Mobile Market visits the Westside Community Center, 919 S. Persimmon Ave. in Sanford, every Tuesday from 4:30-6 p.m.

• June is Black Music Month.  It began in 1979 when music business insiders Kenny Gamble, Ed Wright and Dyana Williams developed the idea to set aside a month dedicated to celebrating the impact of Black music.  
They were successful in their efforts and President Jimmy Carter hosted a reception on June 7, 1979 to formally recognize the cultural and financial contributions of Black music; he designated June as Black Music Month and it is still celebrated annually. In 2000 during President Bill Clinton’s administration, U.S Representative Chaka Fattah sponsored House Resolution #509, which formally recognized the importance of Black music on our culture and the economy.
In 2009, President Barack Obama further defined June as African American Music Appreciation Month as a celebration of Black musicians, composers, singers, and songwriters. The “Rejoice” Radio Broadcast celebrates Black Music Month with special programming during the month of June. You are invited to tune in and celebrate gospel music, which has directly impacted other forms of music.  
Featured artists this month are Gospel music pioneers The Caravans, Rev. James Cleveland, Mahalia Jackson, Luther Barnes, the Hawkins Family, and others.   The “Rejoice” Broadcast airs Sundays, 8:45-10 a.m. over WSDO 1400-AM Radio/Sanford and WTJV 1490-AM Radio/Deland, hosted by Sheralyn J. Brinson.

• Former Sanford resident releases first solo Gospel single CD. Gospel singer, Patrice Riggins was in the Central Florida area recently promoting her new Gospel CD Single, entitled, "Patrice  Sings Worthy of Our Praise". Patrice is the daughter of Bishop Delano and Co-Pastor Carol Freeney.  
Born in Jacksonville, FL, she began singing at the age of 6, and learned to play the guitar and keyboard at the age of 12 as she traveled with her mother. Patrice attended the public schools of Seminole County, graduated from Winter Springs High School in 2004, and furthered her education at Rose Training Institute; she is a Certified Phlebotomist.
In 2005 she moved back to Jacksonville to continue her work in ministry at Miracle Bible Church of God #2 where she plays the keyboard. Patrice is married to Raymond Riggins; they have two sons, Travon and Raymond. In August of 2015, she started her music project with music producers Quentin Coley and James Copeland.  
Patrice gives thanks to God for His many blessings on her life; she is grateful for the support of her family, friends and her producers for her success.  She says the song, "Worthy of Our Praise", was given to her by God and it’s a must that she share it with the world. Her next project is her album entitled, “Anointed”, which she expects to release soon.  
In her own words, Patrice says, “I always felt like music has its own healing touch. In many ways, people listen to music as an emotional calmer, Word confirmer, or just to give God praise.
