Dino Ferri and Dr. James Bogan join the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

Dino Ferri and James Bogan, DVM, joined the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens staff on June 1.
Dino Ferri will be overseeing Zoo operations as Zoo Director. With an extensive background in wildlife management and conservation, Mr. Ferri will be a valuable asset to the Central Florida Zoo. He has worked at the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin, Texas, as well as the Museum of Natural History in Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of Wayne State University.
Dr. James Bogan received his DVM from The Ohio State University. He has practiced small animal and exotic medicine in Ohio and Florida. In 2011, he founded The Critter Fixer of Central Florida - an ambulatory practice with the primary focus on medicine and surgery for reptiles, fish, exotics, and small zoological collections. In addition, he has also been the contract veterinarian for Gatorland since 2001 and the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens since 2014. He has been a member of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians since 1994.
"The Zoo is very excited to add Mr. Ferri and Dr. Bogan to our talented staff. They bring a wealth of knowledge and years of valuable experience to the Zoo. They are committed to the quality care of the animals as well as helping the community understand and appreciate wildlife," said Shonna Green, Communications Director.
