Florida Hospital leaders and city officials celebrated the grand opening of Florida Hospital Lake Mary with a ribbon-cutting on the day of its first patient visits. The nearly 19,000-square-foot Emergency Department’s mission emphasizes efficiencies in care, with lab services, advanced imaging and other essential emergency services.
“There’s a tremendous amount of growth in the Lake Mary area, and our goal is to provide convenient lifesaving and emergency care to residents in north Seminole County,” said Florida Hospital Senior Executive Officer Doug Harcombe. “We are emergency-focused, Lake Mary-centered, and honored to be a community partner.”
Florida Hospital Lake Mary is conveniently located right off of Interstate 4.
“The Lake Mary community is growing with a commitment to quality development,” said Lake Mary Mayor David Mealor. “With that growth comes an increased need for emergency care closer to home, and we’re thrilled that Florida Hospital is bringing this exceptional care to our community.”
Florida Hospital Lake Mary is staffed 24/7 with board-certified emergency physicians. It includes an ambulance bay, a helipad and 24 patient rooms that offer 23-hour observational care.
“By enabling patients to remain under the care of a qualified providers for up to 23 hours, the Emergency Department combines much-needed emergency care with a lower-cost setting,” said Dr. Jesse Caron, medical director of Florida Hospital Lake Mary. “Whether we’re treating a child’s sprain from the soccer field, or an adult’s more serious condition, our staff is highly trained and looking forward to serving the community.”
