Police arrested three people Tuesday afternoon after a deadly shooting and chase through the northwest side of Sanford.
Police responded to the area of W. 6th Street west of Olive Avenue, near the railroad tracks and said one person died on-scene as a result of a shooting.
Police chased a vehicle to a second scene, where it crashed in a ditch near W. 18th Street and Airport Boulevard. The car, which was hauled away Tuesday afternoon, had bullet holes in it.
At the scene on W. 6th Street crime scene technicians were processing the scene and multiple shell casings littered the ground.
As of Tuesday evening police had not released the details of the incident, the victim’s name or the names of those arrested.
