Sanford police arrested a 14-year-old boy this week after they said he was involved in a robbery and shooting in March.
Police said March 28 they received a 911 call reporting a shooting that had just taken place in the Windchase Apartments. Responding officers found the victim, Justin McKnight, injured from an apparent gunshot to the stomach.
McKnight told police he was giving Jaheim Holley a ride to the apartment complex and when they arrived Holley pulled out a gun and demanded he hand over his valuables. McKnight said Holley struck him with the gun several times then shot him in the stomach.
Holley was charged with armed robbery and attempted felony murder with a firearm and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 4 he was located by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and taken to the Seminole County Juvenile Assessment Center.
