Our Take: Six Seminole County High Schools are in the top 100 in the State.

In the U.S. News and World Report’s latest rankings, both Sanford High Schools make the cut.

Seminole High is #65 and Crooms Academy of Information Technology is #77.

Oviedo does even better, also scoring with two, Hagerty High at #35, Oviedo at #59

Others on the top 100 list in the county include, Lake Brantley at #68 and Winter Springs at #83.

Lyman, Lake Howell and Lake Mary were not included in this years rankings. We hope to see them back next year.
Orange County has five, including Winter Park at #40 and Timber Creek at #45.

Orange County is catching up, in past rankings, only Winter Park High made the list, no other  school in the county to our south did as well as any Seminole County school.

Volusia has two, Spruce Creek #64 and Seabreeze #98.

On the Space Coast in Brevard County, three schools make the list, Edgewood #4, Westshore #8 and Cocoa #38.

When mom or dad’s full time job is playing with rockets and spaceships, some of it is bound to rub off on the kids.
