Katherine Bellamy, a long-time Sanford resident, recently celebrated her 105th birthday with family and friends at Cheddars Restaurant. Her physician, Dr. Srivastava also came for the party along with great-grandchildren, Penny Sanders and Ziriel Sanders (not pictured Tristan Sanders).

In response to Hurricane Michael and the overwhelming generosity of people who want to help, the Florida Goodwill organizations have established a response plan to directly bring much needed support and aide to the communities that have been directly and critically affected by Hurricane Michael.

Seven volunteers from Northland's Disaster Response Team were recently deployed to Marianna, FL, located in the panhandle, to serve in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael.

The entire city of Marianna is currently without electricity and has experienced mass destruction.

The Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce will once again host hundreds of attendees at the always-popular Taste of Sanford. Held each year since 2006, the event is scheduled for Monday, October 29, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Sanford Civic Center on Seminole Boulevard in downtown Sanford, Florida.
